About the event

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Workshop (10 slots only) - Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and structured style of yoga that emphasizes a flowing sequence of postures synchronized with breath. Founded by K. Pattabhi Jois, this practice involves six series of increasing difficulty, each designed to build strength, flexibility, and mental clarity.

The practice begins with the Primary Series, focusing on detoxification and alignment through forward bends and foundational poses. As students progress, they move to the Intermediate and Advanced Series, which include more challenging backbends, inversions, and arm balances.

A key feature of Ashtanga is the emphasis on vinyasa, the seamless flow between postures, guided by the breath. The ujjayi breathing technique and drishti (gaze) help maintain focus and heat in the body, promoting physical and mental purification.

About The Instructor

Discipline, Commitment, Resilience, Traditions and Lineage, the Universe has always centred Abhishek around these terminologies with their true essence. Consistently being connected with Sports, Health and Fitness since childhood Abhishek deeply equates with Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as he values and admires T. Krishnamacharya teachings.

Learned under the guidance of ‘Yogacharya Rakesh’ from ‘Samyak Yoga’ Mysore, Abhishek has been teaching and sharing this style across India and South East Asian countries through workshops and collaborations.

His deeper connection with Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and the platform set by this format has actually intrigued and inspired him to learn Primal Flow, elements of Calisthenics, Yoga Dance Flow and Aerial Yoga which he continues to teach.
